Tell me the facts, and I’ll learn. Tell me the truth, and I’ll believe. But tell me a story, and it will live in my heart forever.

Approach

What’s distinctive about YEP’s approach to learning this tradition is the commitment to utilizing the teaching method of “Godly Play,” which enlists a pedagogy of reflective storytelling, symbolism, art, music, dance, and mindful practices.

Although the teaching method is based on a religious model, participants do not have to be religious, spiritual, or believe in God to do this program. The focus is on self-knowledge and inner wisdom. With a heavily academic and intellect-based school system, this program is an opportunity to incorporate the much-needed learning of understanding yourself and others and how to show up and act in the world.

When you know yourself, you are empowered. When you accept yourself, you are invincible.”
